Our Lady of the Rosary

Home/School Learning

Home / School Learning

At Our Lady of the Rosary we believe homework makes a valuable contribution to a child’s learning. Each year group has homework appropriate to their age and related to their learning experiences in school.

Parents will be informed, at the beginning of each school year, the homework tasks that will be set for each Year Group and of the amount of time it is expected that children should spend on these tasks per week.

Reading, spelling, learning times tables and other tasks to reinforce basic number skills are regular activities. Research and project work may also be set.

We expect parents to support our Homework Policy and to ensure that pupils complete homework tasks to be best of their ability and return work to school on time.

Dinner Money

Packed Lunch and School Dinners

Since September 2014 all Infant children have had a free school dinner.

Junior children may bring a packed lunch to eat (no glass bottles/containers/single-use plastic bottles) or choose to have a school dinner at £2.30 per day/£11.50 per week.

Payments for school dinners must be made through ParentPay https://www.parentpay.com/

Application forms for free school meals are available from Mrs. Jones the School Secretary.
