Father David John commissioned our ten newly appointed Year 4 Pupil Chaplains during the last Mass of the year on 21st July. They had previously been selected for the role after an interview with Father David John, Mrs Donohue and Miss Molloy. During the interview each applicant was asked challenging questions.

The Chaplaincy Team are extremely busy during the Autumn Term. The children are preparing to take food parcels to residents in the local community after our Harvest Festival on 11th October. Later this term they will deliver donations of clothing and bedding to Wood Street Mission and take shoe boxes to a local collection point. They will lead the Remembrance and War Memorial Services in November.

They are implementing the Chaplaincy Development Plan 2016-2017. A weekly coffee morning is held each Tuesday, alternating between the School Hall at 9.00am and in Father David's House after 9.30am Mass.  These sessions have commenced since September 2015. We warmly invite all families and parishioners to attend these informal 'get togethers'. Participants have the opportunity to make many friends and have any concerns or requests for help addressed .

Each Tuesday morning the Chaplains lead a Prayer Service in one of the classes. During 2016-2017 Mrs Donohue will work closely with the Parish Sacramental Team supporting families during this very important year. The pupil chaplains will help the Year 3 children during their Sacramental Journey. They will use their own experiences to teach the class about their Faith.

The Chaplaincy Team have this link on our website. The site is updated with a weekly reflection, events and prayer intentions. The team report back regularly to the whole school in the Friday afternoon Good Work Assembly.
